For now, can see no way to properly instrument the innards for diag/forensics
Best is to have some control and then a ton of mules running in various ambients
Ambients as in fuel conditions with everything else as in the control unit
Ambients as in temp cycles
Ambients as in PSI's to their spec range, plus some over PSI as the discussion
seemly points to poor management (relief valving, no accumulator, etc, etc)
Ambients as in harmonics and think this one is the toughest
Tear down at 2K miles, 10K miles, 20K miles, 30K miles....etc Why tons of them
Or, go out and buy back a bunch of HPFP's from customers and replace them with
brand new ones. Log their miles, ambients, etc, etc, etc
Then go at it with a fine tooth comb in the lab with some wide vision eyeballs...
