There is nothing better than an old local delivery truck block to build on.
Completely seasoned, gently used, but lots of heat cold cycles to take the stress out of it.
Almost have to know someone (who owned it) to get the block from them used knowing that there is nothing wrong with it --- never stressed.
Bread trucks.... potato chips delivery... perfect.
