I believe, at least in VW / Audi applications, it is down to 10 micron, not sure the trap rate, 65 to 95% first pass? I do know that where I buy fuel, Conoco deliver guy has told me that all of their fuel is filtered down to 2 micron spec at the refinery. How clean it stays the rest of the trip to the station where I fill up is another matter.
