Ok NewsW... lost of German folks in there getting references. Can we assume, since they have tested to 3000 bar on the nozzles, for wear and service life... that they already have a CR pump that can generate those types of pressures long term, with out fatality to the whole fuel system, like we are experiencing currently at 2000 bar?
They have also addressed additives to keep the Nozzles clean, perhaps Diesel Kleen type chemical additives?
They now need a test for all of the above items, rerun, on poop, in the field grade Amurican ULSD with 5% poop grade WVO based biodiesel added in for good measure.
10 hour tests don't seem very long term, to me?
All of these papers need to be subjected to peer review by Amurican Scientists, and performed and duplicated again by said scientists on Amurican 650 micron wear scar fuel, as a worse case scenario.
Are they even designing their pumps for damage caused by long term inevitable failure, and if so, what is the safety factor? 200%, 150%, or is it down to worse than aeronautic standards of 105% LOL!
They need to start measuring debris left in fuel at the sub atomic level after testing.
