Anyone have a flow/logic diagram for this pump image?
Or does anyone know the flow sequence?
Am amazed that the intake port is so close to the exhaust port and
the rest of the cavity in backwater/stagnant fuel/coolant/lube
Also assume the designers thought that there would be pumping action
from both rotation of the cam and the piston/follower bottom...but...
with the intake and exhaust ports so close together...think just circular
flow of the fluid
The metering valve seems to have a piezo, but wouldn't a plain spring
loaded one way work? What are they metering for? Do they allow back
flow as the metering method? then slam that metering valve shut to
then allow the cylinder to raise and open the one way to the common
rail?
