Oh, to those who have had failures or hearing sounds of potential and eminent
failure...
Think too late and it's done for
DO NOT let them take the pump
Either DIY with witnesses, or have certified HPFP shop disassemble it paying
special attention to the cam follower and piston mating surface.
Video tape it and with several witnesses would be the best of all situations
Anyone talking or in come sort of communications with the NHTSA ? Suggest getting
them to inspect the follower/piston mating surfaces for tell-tale hammering
Am positive that the root cause is the metering valve and the resultant
is the piston hammering the follower mating surface
What do you folks think?
