Has anyone over at NHTSA in the Design Defect Unit of this investigation got their hands on enough pump samples, opened them up, to statistically examine the various modes of internal failure, yet? That seems like the next step, if we are ever going to see a recall on this problematic pump.
Maybe NHTSA needs to have their engineers plan an unscheduled visit to Bosch where these parts are manufactured, with a warrant or court order?
