Perhaps the CP3 does not use a DLC cam face. The lower pressure is surely a factor as well. The impact from a floating roller for what ever reason could also deflect the base metal of the cam and doom the DLC to flaking or failure of the adhesion to the cam. I would imagine any debris in this equation would prove fatal to the pump.
