It takes a while from the damage starting in the summer, until the cumulative final effect of complete failure takes place. I've no idea what the seasonal summer temperatures are of locales in Australia, nor do I know what their smog requirements or rail pressures are down under, nor fuel lubricity standards for D2. Can't see it being as stringent as North American Tier 2 Bin 5 pollution standards, which precipitated this whole HPFP self destruction suffer session from Bosch.
Temperatures in Australia are generally hotter than in the US, still some places are cold but not the -20 F cold you get there. Not rail pressures, but heavy truck pressures. A Lot of what would be rail transport goes onto MDT Or HDT trucks, those classifications do not relate to the US MDT or HDT ones. US Tier Bin 5 does not meet Australian Euro V standards, so a company like Ford cannot import F350HD 6.7 diesels. Some limited private importations is allowed.Smog requirements are severe. Many US cities have some of the worst pollution on the planet, so I cannot see any relaxation of smog requirements.
