Is there a trend line with respect to failures?
Is it diminishing as a % of sales?
rick... what is the trendline for HPFP failues in past months?
If we are right on heat as an issue, summer is coming up.
Can we get HPFP failure data from Australia (just finished summer)?
For the 105 units we have of the 2011 models I show a beta slope of 1.96 which indicates an increasing failure rate. We are talking about North America here, but 90% are in the US.
My time scale is mileage, not days. Repair is cyclical for our fleet and one of these rigs will accumulate vastly different amounts of daily miles depending on how rural or densely populated a market is.
Raw data is what we need... region or location of failure by state, and month that the unit first went in for service for failure. If you have a brand of fuel for last 5 fillups, that would be perhaps be useful also. VIN's would be helpful also.... to throw up on another board, so the mods over there can feel some hot water.
Have you filed your failures with NHTSA in the USA, for each and every failure? You should, it's important data.
