Well...
Here's hoping that I don't have the fuel pump issue with my truck.
I took it in for its required service and for a Check Egnine Light. The tech said the code was P20BA Reductant Heater. He said the guidance from Ford was to clear the code and it if didn't come back, then it was fixed, other wise it was something else.
Well I get a couple blocks from home and the Check Engine light comes back on. I call the dealership and they say to bring it back in. I ask what time tomorrow should I drop it off. They tell me to drop it off on the 29th of October. I get a little preturbed and say that this is why I brought it in the first place. I don't want to be driving the truck if there is something seriously wrong with it.
I drop it off on Monday. They don't get to it until Tuesday. AT this time the tech asks me if the truck seemed to have a lack of power. I told him that was on the first work order. I noted that as I didn't know if it was related to the check engine light.
He tells me there might be some problem with the injectors. He then says that he has been in contact with Ford Engineers regarding the problem. The alarms are going off in my head. He says that he has to test the fuel system to see if there is any contamination.
I tried to make sure I didn't get snotty. My first thought was to ask if they notice any issues when they replaced the fuel filters during the service last week. Because nothing was noted on the work order.
I hoped to hear back today what is going to be the next steps.
Oh, Man; good luck. Hopefully it turns out to be something minor and covered under warranty.
