I saw the truck this morning. They have the entire top of the engine off and the fuel rail was in a vise on the workbench.
The Service Consultant talked to me on the way out. She said that it appearred that the fuel pump was probably faulty from day one. A ticking time bomb. I should have realized there was something more going on as my fuel mileage didn't seem to be dropping once I stopped pulling the fifth-wheel. Maybe that is a symptom of a failing fuel pump.
I will try to get the serial and part numbers for the fuel pump and post them here. I have never had to do that before.
Regarding the fuel questions...
The truck has only been filled in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The pumps that I fill at all have the the "May contain up to 5% Biodiesel" sticker.
In the interest of full disclosure, if you remember, I was the one who mistakenly put a tank of gas into it when it had only 1,627 km on it. The truck was never started so no gas got into the fuel system.
