Good morning everyone and Happy birthday to Patty. I think Walter and Garland are in Branson, Missouri this week. I heard on the news this morning that a tour Duck Boat Capsized on Table Rock Lake yesterday during a freak storm with 60 MPH winds. There is loss of life and folks injured. I hope Walter and Garland are okay.
I checked the live trap this morning and it was empty, no skunk. Suzie is beginning to smell better and Dixie is okay. Sue is fine and about to get ready to face the day. I have my sermon ready for Sunday morning. Sue read it yesterday and commented on what a powerful sermon it is. I really enjoyed preparing it and hope all goes well Sunday morning.
We got more rain yesterday late in the evening. It was a good soaking rain but hard at times. The Ungers live down from us and always have a garden, He raises the best tomatoes you will ever eat. Anyway the garden really looks good this year. There will be okra, green beans, tomatoes, zucchini and squash. He also has some kind of melons that I don't recognize. He always shares with the neighbors at a fare price.
Things are heating up in Burke County over animal control. Folks are fed up with broken promises and all of the homeless animals running loose in the county. There are two rescue organizations in the county, Girard Life Savers and the Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue. Both are over run with dogs, puppies and cats. Old Fella has over two hundred in foster care. Girard Life Savers have over one hundred. Both organizations are carrying the full load of expenses without any help from the county. They really don't seem to be in a hurry to do anything either.
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
