? about Arizona route 95 north from Quartzsite

What is Az state route 95 like from Quartzsite to I 40 above Lake Havasu City? Eventually, we're going to Las Vegas. Or would it be easier crossing into California and pick up US95 north to Vegas?

I think I'd rather spend more time (and gas money) in Arizona than California. Except that DW wants to drop by Quartzsite, I'd just take US93 out of Phoenix and head straight to Vegas.

I'll be pulling a 24' TT with an F150 4x4 Scab.

  • as stated, AZ side is more scenic, but slower going due to traffic, and going up to Bullhead City is even more congested, but interesting to go through Laughlin. There's a pretty nice campground on the AZ side, just past the bridge.
Or you can park free in a parking lot directly across from the Riverside Casino and there's a little shuttle boat that runs constantly all day and most the night.
  • Both roads are about the same, the biggest difference is a lot more towns on the Arizona side than the California side and thus it will take you longer on the Arizona side.

BUT, IMHO, Ariz. 95 is much more scenic:)
  • No contest, stay in AZ to Bullhead city and then head up and over thru Searchlight. Road is much better than the 95 thru California. Macktee

X2! Calif. 95 would not be a road to have mechanical problems or a flat tire. There really is no place to pull off the road:(
