NO. Hy 242 is narrow and windy. It has a length restriction of 32 (?) feet. It is a beautiful drive if you have a toad. There is an observatory at the top with a short walk that you can see something like nine mountains on a clear day. Do a internet search for Oregon Highway 242 and you can get more info.
Assuming you are in Bend or Sisters take US 20/OR 126 over Santiam Pass then at the bottom take the 126 junction to Eugene/Springfield and the on to the coast. Good ride all the way.
