303 BYPASS AROUND PHOENIX

Sorry for the late response to the last post. I have some time restraints when I leave. Getting a late start on that Sat. and my thinking is that I-10 to 101 loop to I-17 would be the quickest route and get me to the rv park early evening. Wireman

If you're going to Camp Verde/Flagstaff, it would be just fine to take 60 to Wickenburg then 74 east to I-17. Wondering why it wouldn't work for you? Do you want to stop in the Phoenix area around I-10?

FYI, I'm heading to Camp Verde as a base for 4 or 5 days and then on to Flagstaff. Have taken that route thru Salome a couple of times to Prescott and agree it's a good route in that direction. Just not where I'm heading this time. Wireman

X2 on a pleasant drive taking I-10 and exit 31 at Quartzsite to Hwy 60 into Wickenburg then 74 east into I-17 near Cave Creek. Depends where you want to end up on I-17. You'll avoid ALL the Phoenix congestion this way. Have a good trip!

Not sure how far North of Phoenix you want to be but. If you take US60 off of I10 through Salome and Wickenberg. Past Wickenberg, take AZ74 to I17. Low traffic and good road. Just not divided highway. There is Also a shortcut via New River Road that saves 10 miles or so. I missed the turn headed to Cottonwood but was still an easy trip on 74 to 17. Took NRR on the way back. Also great road.

Eastbound I-10.....Exit 123 then go north

The off ramp use to be "Cotton Lane" but check with the Dept. of Transporation in Ariz. Personally, I would drive another 8 miles and get on the 101 which connects with I-17.
I would not recommend getting off 303 to Bell Ave. for fuel if you are towing an RV. Bell Ave. is just a cluster _ _ _ _! day and night:)

Get off I-10 at Citrus, turn left and simply follow the signs. We use it with our MH and toad without a problem. Great way to avoid Phoenix traffic and get to I-17.
