- Thom02099Explorer IIInteresting, amusing point of view, both the OP's link and the comments.
I was expecting something more along the lines of various vids and articles about roads in India, Brazil, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, etc. that are a challenge by western standards but are driven regularly by the locals.
As far as difficult roads in the USA more aligned with the ones noted above, I'd say Mosquito Pass Rd outside of Fairplay CO is a very challenging road, not for the faint of heart or folks with dizziness disorders. - cruiserjsExplorer#3 in that list is completely wrong!! Highway 2 is several miles north of Butte MT and Three Forks!! Both of these are on Interstate 90.
So how accurate are the rest of that list??
Trying to scare us?? - magnusfideExplorer III'm with the other posters: certain urban roads are far more dangerous.
The beltway around DC.
The beltway around Atlanta.
Boston.
CA freeways when they aren't log jammed.
etc etc etc.
I posted that article to give us new places to think about visiting. I knew that there are some here who, like me, love a challenge. It's that oppositional defiance streak we all have. - jeb5ExplorerGold Camp Road from Colorado Springs to Victor. DO NOT TAKE AN RV ON THIS ROAD. A portion is closed due to a tunnel collapse. Teddy Roosevelt described this as a route that the English Language could not describe. My wife made several comments that might change President Teddy mind. It is wild and beautiful.
- EsoxLuciusExplorerMe neither.
- LaurenExplorerI could not get the link to open.
- CroweExplorerAround here, getting off I-78 with your hide intact - now THAT'S an accomplishment.
LOL! Been chased down that road multiple times by big rigs. Logging trucks are the worst! You try to slow down to take an exit ramp and all you see in your rear view mirror is PETERBILT or MACK! - lizzieExplorerMost lists like this lead to a lot of laughs, but this one takes the cake. Who in the world compiled it? These are just ordinary roads. We have towed on all but the Dalton (but have done Top of the World & etc). Maybe we could make our own list? lizzie
- WE-C-USAExplorerWe've drove most or all of 4. With a Class C w/toad or this 5W. But not the S.C route. I can say, I've never had any pucker factor during any of these drives.

I agree. ;)
This list made me LOL. It was obviously compiled by some city kid who's terrified of anywhere without street lights.
The most dangerous roads I've ever been on are in urban areas.
Article must have been written by a city boy.
