Tripalot made the suggestion I would agree with. That's the way we went last winter to Florida. Just stay on I-65 through Nashville down to Montgomery, AL. From there catch US231 down to I-10. US231 is an accessible 4 lane highway and a nice road. And if you're looking for a nice overnight stay check out Deer Run RV Park just north of Troy, AL. It's not expensive and take's Good Sam. It was like $27/night with FHUs, cable, and paved pads. It's right off 231. We dewinterized there last winter.

Depending upon where you're headed in Florida you can take US19 south off I-10 along the gulf. It's a nice easy 2 lane that goes through some rural Florida. You can make good time on it. Or you can take I-10 over to I-75.
