BTW, Home Depot in Mexico sells a line of voltage regulators. The largest one can handle 20 amps and is designed to handle motor start surges. My 13.5 A/C runs, but not the 110v water heater and air conditioner. It was 1100 Pesos. Cheap. I already have a surge guard, but I am finding this thing in front of it is allowing the surge guard to let power throguh. 80-145v in 110 out and quite compact. The have a cheaper version with the same specs, but it cannot handle motor starts. The one I bought is white, the others are black.
