Trackrig Yes, it looks like a newer version of mine. Many RVer.s prefer the progressive industries brand as it is warranty for life; they fix it. Having said that, the surge protector brand works very well. Now, what happens here is the incoming power may go above the setting of 132 130 voltage and shut the power off as it is supposed to do. You are then operating on your inverter and with weak batteries your automatic generator setting will start the generator.
One may generally depend on the power going over 132 at least once a day, sometimes many times. Because of this inconvenience especially during a football game, some rv persons disconnect their portable surge guard. Not a good thing to do. So others have found a way to regulate the voltage all the time with a voltage regulator.
To date those are ISB models and I have an Ecowise brand. Both seem to regulate the voltage as mine is at 118 day in day out for months with a 2 volt fluctuation now and again. The pedestal is usually at 129 or higher and sometimes quite low. The Ecowise will stop a power surge and continue to operate after the surge as found out in the recent power surge that took out much equipment including 5 micro wave ovens in RV's with little or no protection.
got a link for that unit? Everywhere i look for the Progressive mfg. autoformer says they only carry a one year warranty.
