We are presently in Alaska having a great time with 45' motorhome towing a full size pickup truck. Yes it does take some extra planning as many campgrounds can't accommodate you, but many can, both the full service ones and we've stayed in several exceptional national or provincial parks with no hookups. We aren't going to venture down dirt roads with the motorhome very far, but we roam everywhere we can in the truck. I'm not going to comment on the guns, we left everything behind. We crossed into Canada once and back into the US once so far and had ABSOLUTELY no problem at all! Quick and easy. GO!
