This is fresh off the press this morning of someone trying to bring a couple of hand guns across the line and he didn't make it. There isn't much as he just made a court appearance the other day, time will tell what happens to him

And not just someone...but a Judge. Albeit a judge that quit after getting caught shop-lifting, but still..a judge. An X judge.
Probably rode a loud Harley too, nasty old man,

Gentlemen:
In looking at what I think are the appropriate Canadian regs, it looks like certain handguns are actually ok to carry into or through Canada provided the barrel is longer than 4-1/2 inches and the caliber is not prohibited. I know there are Canadians who do Cowboy shooting and travel to the US with the guns, and I presume they take them home. Customs has said most long guns are fine as long as declared and the fee paid.
I am thinking of revolvers with barrels in the 5" range, lever action rifles and double barrel or pump shotguns designed before about 1900.
It is simple for me to mail any guns as I have a valid address in Alaska and WA. Don't want to start any confrontation, just looking for clarity.
