It is simple for me to mail any guns as I have a valid address in Alaska and WA. Don't want to start any confrontation, just looking for clarity.

I have never seen an American traveler passing through Canada being allowed to transport a handgun in their vehicle. Folks that show up at customs are turned back and end up mailing/shipping the handgun. You can mail a handgun through the USPS from yourself to yourself without a FFL.
