- gwbainesExplorerI have a small group of 3 camper trucks leaving for southern Mexico at that time. We will probably be moving too fast for a big rig. Staying at Organ Pipe Natl. Monument, or at BLM lands near Why are convenient places to stay when crossing at Lukeville. As of last year, get your personal papers at the border and car papers down the road east or Caborca. Easy crossing, good roads.
- charleypotatoesExplorerThanks for the all the helpful suggestions and information. I'll probably be crossing at Nogales (maybe Lukeville).

You can dry camp at the Nogales, Arizona Walmart and team up with other RVers. It is OK to stay overnight, Walmart doesn't mind, and within a day or two there will be several RVs past thu headed South.
Another location people are starting to stay at is the De Anza RV Park in Amado the night before, http://deanzarvresort.com/. Much nicer and you can stay longer more comfortable.
Good Luck,
