Remember, speed limit while towing in CA is 55. You should keep it below 65.
Two reasons, the CA speed limit and the trailer tires you probably have are limited to 65-mph, and make sure tire pressure is 65-psi before you head out each day.
I-40 in CA can be "interesting" due to road surface.
