I'm beginning to get the impression that that route is not going to be good.
If anyone has any other route suggestions from Denver to Anaheim/Los Angeles area that might be good, even highways, I'd be glad to hear it. We took several highways back from Oklahoma and found many of them really nice, smooth and sometimes 4 lanes for hundreds of miles.
