Asheville NC to Cleveland GA

Question

We will be leaving Asheville and headed to Cleveland GA in September. Google Maps show the following route. Never been up in this area before and not sure if these roads. We have a fifth wheel and the over all length with truck about 50ft. The suggested route
as follows

I40 west to hwy 74/23 to 23/441 down to GA line and hwy is then 23/15 then down to hwy 385 to hwy 115 into Cleveland. Is this route do able with our rig?? Is there a better way?

From another post: "441 has only 2 good steep sections between Dillsboro & Franklin. South of Franklin it's pretty flat and straight." You might want a truckers mountain atlas that lists all the grades.

I live just outside of Asheville and go that route all the time.I tow a 37 ft fifth wheel. no problem at all there is a rest stop just south a Franklin easy in and out.Steve

Is there a better way?google routeThat's about the most frequently used route. Double check it with http://www.mapquest.com/ though. Mapquest has the capacity to try different routes by using a click and drag. We find it more accurate than Google too. BTW your link to G didn't work. It's not a transferable clicky.
