Availability of diesel in W. Canada - the more remote places

Most, but not all stations sell diesel. In the busy season you will have no problem. But on one trip, in the fall, on a Sunday afternoon, I passed station after station that either had no diesel, was closed for the season, or was closed on Sunday. We were on fumes and I resolved to stop at the next station and just wait till they opened the next day...the guy was just locking the doors, we got lucky. Had we not been coming down out of the rockies so I could coast a lot we would have been camped next to the road somewhere.
