Baja & Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel

Hello, been years since I've been south into Tijuana and wondering if ultra low sulphur diesel fuel has shown up? Thanks.

  • Get a map. North of Guerrero Negro 50Km is a small village called VILLA JESUS MARIA. It is served by the Pemex tank farm just north of Ensenada. This tank farm itilizes only USA refined ULSD, or refined in Japan ULSD, that frequently has such a low ppm sulfur count it is not measureable (0 ppm sulfur). All of the gasolineras, and this means every last one in the state of Baja California is served with ULSD.

The Villa Jesus Maria gasolinera is the most southern, that (the state of Baja California) is served ULSD. Beyond which (Baja California Sur) made in Mexico diesel is hauled by PIPA (tankers) coming north out of the Alimentation Pemex (tank farm) in Pichilingue, just north of La Paz. The fuel is barged across the gulf via privately owned barges from the Alimentation Pemex in Topolobampo, Sinaloa. Fuel sulfur varies for made in Mexico diesel but it is a safe bet to count on getting 300 ppm sulfur diesel from Guerrero Negro to the capes.

It's the same for gasoline except for Pemex Premium which is 100% USA refined throughout the country of Mexico. Jesus Maria is the last gasolinera southbound to have refined in USA Magna gasoline.

The above is not guesswork BTW just to save your time :)
