Reasonably Good Condition...
At 5 mph in a toad, yanked factory wiring harness loose from three relays, broke a rear view mirror loose from the windshield, snapped a tailpipe exhaust hanger, and broke a left rear electric window lift lever nylon bushing. One of the worst desviaciones I have ever suffered in Mexico. The pickup truck ahead of me lost an exhaust system which I dodged.
This construction is immediately south of Sto Tomás and extends for seven miles.
The road re-hab entre Guerrero Negro and Vizcaino was finished in mid July. This tramo is in excellent condition. The detour was 4.6 miles not 3.
Confirmed the tramo adjacent to Laguna Chapala is a piece of snot. A pickup truck with six men overloaded with patch asphalt was doing their best to fill the worst of the craters.
The carretera municipio through Sta Rosalia is another snot rag. Rough as hell.
Going 4 August. Coming back 7 August.
Take road reports including this one with ten grains of salt followed by a tarro of mescál. They are near useless.
