Anyone got a good route through or around Shreveport from Longview, Texas to Jackson, Missippi? We have been beat to death on I-20 going through Shreveport and even on the loop.Sure would appreciate some information for a smoother route.

funny i travel it daily never noticed it to bad

Westbound I-10 in LA is the roughest of rides.

Shreveport I-20 was so horrible I found myself slowing to 45mph. No other city in the 12000 miles towed across 15 states this year was even close to that bad. If you dont agree then perhaps you need to get out of LA more often!

It's not any better farther south.

Eastbound I-10 coming into Lake Charles will throw you out of your seat. Right at that curve before the refinery.
I used 190 once, don't remember it being too bad.

Has been a lot of paving between Binghampton and Albany this summer. Still some rough spots for those who require them.

Look at the graphic halfway down this page. TX/LA/MS are some of the worst states for highly expansive soil. Roads suffer accordingly.

tens of miles. not broken slabs BUT tilted slabs

like riding a bicycle down steps.. hard on equipment.. and not so good on backs.

never seen/felt anything like this up North..

Guys, when you speak of the bad spots in these interstates, are these long stretches (tens of miles) or what? I have to figure out a way to get there from here in Jan.

West... South... West...

past 3 days... I55, I12, I10... BAD in concrete areas... and BAD is an understatement. and the left lane is not much better.

Found a small highway "2" connecting with Texas "49" crossing Texas into Louisiana, north of Shreveport.

Small road and out of the way. Ties back into I-20 east of Shreveport, missing the city by twenty miles or so. Looks like it might save the fillings in our teeth!

Anyone ever taken this route?

Don't take I-10 thinking it's any better, the stretch between the Atchafalaya causeway and Lafayette is worse than I-20!
