Check out our little beach if you like a quiet family beach. Holden Beach NC. website is hbtownhall.com . We are about 30 miles N of MB SC but totally different. No high rises, traffic ( unless summer season ), etc. There are some nice places to eat, minature golf, homemade ice cream. Camping is not on the beach except a small pretty tight CG at the fishing pier. It has full hook ups and is usually not busy except summer season or holidays. There are a couple of CG's within 5 minute drive to the beach, one pretty new and modern one called Ocean Breeze.
Of course North of us in NC you have Emerald Island which was mentioned and the world famous Outer Banks. Both are very nice places to visit.
SC has better State parks I think near / on the beach. Check Them out.
