best route near Great Basin Natl. Park
We will be heading south through Ely around the middle of October with our signature MH and trailer(65')length. My question is...should we stay on Hwy 50 all the way to I-15 and forget about going...

We turned off 50 down to GB and back up to 50 three years ago with no problem. We unhitched our toad at the visitor center, drove the Wheeler Peak Scenic loop including a short hike on one of the trails on top in it, and then re-hooked up before continuing our trip to Delta. We had no trouble with 487 and 488 to the park and just retraced back to 50.
Thank-you for the information about GB. That brings up another question. Is GB park worth taking the time to see and do some exploring at? I don't hear of very many people going there, but since it is a National Park, I figured it must have some interesting things to see. Thanks again for any info or highlights you have about the park.
