It's a good road. While it does have some areas that are 2 lanes, some of it has 3 lanes and some 4 lane divided. It does go through some small towns. Be sure to watch for US61 vs Bus 61. Do not take Bus 61. It turns right in Natchez with some traffic but not too bad. In Vicksburg do NOT take Bus 61. Get on I-20 east for 4.4 miles, then take exit 5A for US61 north. At Leland MS it merges with US278. I would not try to cross the Mississippi River at Helena Arkansas. The bridge is very narrow. Either cross at Greenville MS (new bridge) or go on up to Memphis and cross on I-55. We either stay in Lake Village AR at Pecan Grove RV park (not fancy but does have pull thrus). Or we stay in West Memphis AR at Tom Sawyers RV Park on the MS River.
