Mr: briansue , please accept my apologies, the maps that appear in this posting are very dangerous to those that do not know Mexico and even to those that have some knowledge of the country.
One thing is to visit and travel and another is having the local knowledge, having lived many years in Mexico and in California, I can tell you where the bad places are in Los Angeles and San Diego, if I were to go to Chicago I would not know where the bad areas are, most of the the South West of the USA and Mexico I do know.
When I was growing up you drove to Acapulco, detoured to Taxco for a visit or not, and stopped for fuel in Iguala and then Acapulco, from there you drove along the coast to Zigutanego and further up.
Under no circumstances did you ever go into the interior of the State of Guerrero, there where very bad hombres, I am talking late 50's and early 60's and it has gotten worse, some of those camp grounds shown are some of the most dangerous areas to travel in not just in Guerrero but also on some of the other States as well.
Your information is correct on roads and camp grounds that take the RV's, all three of the maps shown are not to be used for camping with RV's, or tents some are daylight use only, the bad hombres come in the night.
Neighbor of ours worked for Ford Motors a character from Illinois, took the kids camping in the Desierto de los Leones National Park, he had the foresight to hide the car keys, they came home in their under ware, and that is not an urban legend I was there when they got home Saturday morning scared s*****s.
Some information that you find on the internet can be extremely dangerous for those that do not know what they are getting in to, specially in Mexico and Latin America.
You do give some good information, this time no neither you or tequila or the other gentleman hit the nail.
