I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at the Grand Codroy campground. Quite simply it is the best campground we have ever stayed at. It's a former Provincial Park. The spots are large with FHU's and the best wifi ever found. We only stayed here one night but had we known we would have liked to extend our stay but we had ferry reservations.
There is an on site craft shop with real crafts made by real local craftsmen. My DW bought a pair of slippers knitted by a 93 year old woman. We had a great view of the river on one side and the Table Mountains on the other.
The campground is about a half hour from the ferry on the main (and only)highway.
