Hi all, I am not sure if this is the right spot but we looking for a spot to stay in vegas overnight this weekend. It is going to be a stopping point on the way to the North Rim on the Grand Canyon. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Also, it has been a while but I forgot what the climb out of baker is like. If I remember correctly it isn't to bad going north but pretty steep going south.

I like AZ Charlies on boulder highway.

If you're looking for hookups, Sam's Town RV Park $18-$27 per night depending on type of site you select. 5111 Boulder Hwy off 515. Has 24 hour security, but don't leave anything outside that you want to keep!

Circus Circus owns a KOA which is only about two blocks from the strip. Not cheap, but sure is convenient. No need to drive to see the sites.

I too have stayed at Circus Circus. Its nothing special but very close to the strip. We like to walk for exercise instead of driving but it would be too hot in the daytime this time of year.

i agree with usoutwest - oasis is a nice park, if you can get in. the casino on the other side of the freeway (silverton?)is fine if you don't want the bustle of the strip, and it has a huge bass pro shop. about ten min. away is easy parking at the belaggio.

If you are an Elks Lodge member the North Las Vegas lodge has RV parking and the Boulder City lodge also has RV parking. Both very reasonable.
