- dcasonExplorerIt will also be more scenic to avoid nys thruway.
- darsbenExplorer IIX2 for missing the Scranton and Binghamton construction
- We_Cant_WaitExplorerx2 on the route brooks379 gave you. Drove truck over the road and had used this route many a time. There will be 1 hard pull on the route just north of Williamsport, other then that great route.
- brooks379ExplorerIt is about 20 miles longer but about 20 times easier traveling...Get on I 80 in NJ to I 180 west in Milton, PA to 15 N in Williamsport, PA to I 86 in Painted Post, NY to I 390 N in Bath, NY take exit 7 63 N to 20 W to 77 N to I 90 W about 20 miles west of Buffalo and on to Niagara Falls. No Scranton construction....no Binghamton construction and a lot less traffic and no tolls until I 90 outside Buffalo..
- twins89ExplorerYour choices are 86/17 to Binghamton and then up 81 to 90 OR 87 to 90 all the way. I would use 90 all the way due to nonstop and service stations along the way without getting off. However, it isn't cheap. There are some scenic byways such as 31. The Lake Ontario Parkway begins in Rochester at the Lake but DO NOT TAKE it, it has a clearance of less than 10 feet.
