chimulco

I want to thank all who gave us advice when a tree branch went through the roof of our trailer while staying at Chimulco trailer park. We are now back in Cananda and happy in the knowledge that all the damage has been repaired. We have to thank the Chimulco owners and their staff who moved mountains to help us get through this difficult time. Chimulco insurance paid for everything. No questions asked.
A couple friends have e-mailed to say that they heard that Chimulco were having trouble with falling trees. I would like to clear that up. The problem was from one tree which has since been taken down. Other trees of the same species are going to be topped before next season. The owners are taking the situation very seriously. They have already started to plant mature attractive trees. In a nutshell Chimulco will make sure that there will be no repeat incidents of this kind.
Just wanted to kill the rumour before it got out of hand

  • been going there for 14 years and call it our winter home. We don't find the caravans invasive at all. We have made some super friends from the Caravan crowd and many of them come back on their own the following year. I think in all we had about four or five caravans last season.
Started last year we can now leave our rigs at the park year round at a very reasonable fee. It sure beats the drive back and forth from Canada and I believe when all is said and done the cost of flying is close. Now we just have to find a way to leave a car year round. Yes a great place to spend the winter. The weather is perfect and the thermal pools cannot be beaten.

  • They have been trimming trees there for the last 2 years. Nice spot, just remember it is heavily used by caravans in january and february.
  • One of our favorite places & will be returning!

  • Kudos to Chimulco for taking the bull by the horns and making sure you were taken care of.
