CO Hwy 550 - Montrose to Durango
How is this route? According to the trip planner it looks like all mountain driving to me. Anybody familiar with this route? Would you recommend using it with a 34' travel trailer in tow?

I had heard of the Million Dollar Highway but I hadn't realized that I had accidentally stumbled upon it in my planning.
I think I'll take a pass and bypass it.
I still have the heebie-jeebies over the Going to the Sun road at Glacier NP. Seeing those big red buses coming around the curve on my side of the road makes me nervous.
