We are thinking of taking 139 from Loma, Colorado to Rangley, Colorado. If anyone has been on this road recently we would appreciate information on road conditions. We will be towing a 32 foot fifth ...
CO 139 is a good 2 lane road with shoulders. Going in that direction its all a gradual uphill climb to 8,000 ft Douglas Pass then down the other side. Only the mile or so on each side of the pass are steep & twisty. It's only about an hour and a half drive, but its a desolate area with no services until you hit Rangely. So don't be low on fuel leaving Loma. When I was working we did some oil & gas exploration in that area. Haven't been back since retiring, but don't expect its changed much.
