Copilot.com App

Have been looking at the Copilot.com app. Does anyone have any experience with this? How does it compare to a regular GPS?

I bought this APP for $6.99 when it went on sale after researching the new Garmin 760 and the RM for $400 and reading negative reviews on here about each I figured I would try this first. Having used this APP I would never go back to a Garmin or any other GPS again. Most of us that have been traveling in an RV for 10 or more years have probably purchased several, maybe $1000 or more over the years for these units, that have to be updated, upgraded do to technology changes, and just replaced due to hardware failures or batteries failing. The APP maps have been already updated twice since I bought it, the phone is free every 2 years so I not worried about replacing hardware. It was the best $6.99 I have spent.
  • Howdy!

I've been using Co-Pilot gps app for a few years now and it is absolutely our goto gps for everything we do. I trash the Garmin and went to Co-Pilot when I got tired of buying map upgrades (there free with Co-Pilot), and my old gps would not except lifetime maps. I use Co-Pilot with my Samsung tablet and note 4 smartphone. Love the large tablet screen when pulling the RV. I see no need to purchase a stand alone gps if you have a Tablet with gps or a smartphone. CoPilot app is last I checked was $9.99 for the app and you never need to purshase it again even if you get a new device. I would rather purchase a new tablet than a new stand alone gps and use it. You will get a lot more uses from a tablet than a gps. Hope this helps

  • I love it and it works great. Why spend $100's for a GPS when this will do what you want it for.
  • I have been using it for years. One of the best features is that the maps are all downloaded and are stored on the device. Why is this good. You install the app using WiFi at home and then when you are traveling it doesn't eat up your data plan. One of the other features I like is that it gives you the choice to use Google search for your destinations.
  • We now use it rather than our RV GPS. We like it better. Works off your phone GPS so you don't need cell service to use it. It has an RV setting. Very easy to set up and use. We didn't opt for the monthly traffic subscription, just bought the app. Been using it for 6 months.
  • An excellent app. We have it on an Ipad and it works extremely well.
  • I use this for GPS all the time. It is on an Android Phone and Tablet. I like the ability to tell it our height limits and such for routing. Updates happen frequently.
