Always check routes against a paper map no matter what brand of gps navigator you are using. There have been a lot of threads on this here. A few times a year you'll see some newspaper article about someone blindly following the gps instructions and finding themselves stuck out in the Mohave desert or on some obscure forest track in Oregon.
