Title should be "Don't rely on any GPS alone for routes". Even though I have used multiple GPS over the years, I think they have all tried to lead me astray at one time or the other. I always check google maps before I travel any unfamiliar route so that I will know before I go. I primarily use the GPS for miles to next turn and for estimated time to destination.
Does also come in handy for homing in on an address, but often only after I am getting very near that address.
