This route using I495 through Wilmington DE is a good example where paper maps will lead you astray.

Google maps leaves the freeway for a short stretch, rerouting you into the downtown. Why? Because a section of bridge of the river is damaged and being repaired. A GPS unit with live traffic probably also makes this sort of the detour.
