- elkhorn98ExplorerIf you're heading to Oregon you could go 101 north to 20 and east to I5.
- msmith1199Explorer III just got back from Duncan Mills a few hours ago. But I can't answer your question on best way to get to 5 without knowing which way you're going. Time of day would also make a difference too. Highway 37 is having major construction and was close all weekend. So since I was going South when I got to I-5 I took 101 to 580 and across the Richmond Bridge and then followed 580 all the way to 5. That would not be the best way to go during commute hours. It was bad enough going on Sunday afternoon.
- bdpreeceExplorer IIWill be leaving Duncan Mills on Saturday 9/27 about 11 am. Headed South once we get to I5.
- msmith1199Explorer IIAt that time of day on a Saturday you should be fine taking 101 to 580 and then across the bridge and stay on 580 all the way to 5. I assume you're going in the Class A with the toad. So if you need to stop try and find someplace before you get to the Richmond bridge to stop and go to the potty. Once you're on the bridge you'll want to stay on the road all the way to at least the Livermore area. There aren't too many easy and safe areas to get off and on the freeway between those spots. It's a real congested area.
- msmith1199Explorer IIAnd that is the free direction across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge too.
