Eastern NC up to Quarryville, PA

We are taking the kids up to the Amish country and to the local Jellystone there in Quarryvill, PA in June.. I've not pulled a camper up that way and most of the route is I-95 and the other 95's up thru or around Richmond, VA, Washington DC and Baltimore, MD..

The fastest route shows a toll road also.

Can anybody give me some pointers for this route?

  • I would do Rt 17 to Rt 15 to Rt 30 at Gettysburg. 30 east from Gettysburg is not to bad.

I always go West from I-95 on 17 at Fredericksburg.

  • Pick up 81 in roanoke VA. If your coming from NC you should be staying s few days in the george washington/jefferson national forest.

Im going down there in june but in NC at balsam mountain state park in the smokeys. 5300 ft high..

We go to quarryville every year. Youll have a blast

I agree, that I95 is not civilized.

I am on the west side of the Susquehanna river in York county. The Amish are moving over here to get away from the high land prices and congestion in Lancaster county. We have Amish farming on two sides of our property and we don't have a clue what the fuss is all about.
