Easy pull through diesel Eureka, CA south on 101

One leg of our trip will be from Portland to Petaluma CA via Hwy 101 with a stop at Crescent City. My truck stop app shows no truck stops along 101. Now I know lots of trucks use 101 so can someone point the way to a station with diesel that is an easy straight pull through for our 56ft rig including car caddy anywhere from Eureka south for around 100 miles?

  • Down load the "gas buddy"application. I would suggest you fuel up in Brookings, Or. Fuel is cheaper. Stations- Fredy Meyer, Love's, 76, cheveron, shell, Arco.
  • Google maps shows the Safeway as a straight in and out with a light at the corner for easy access. Perfect.
  • +1 on the Safeway. We always fill up with diesel there. Access is not bad and the price is always the best (all are high $$$) in the area. I can get our signature rig in and out with few problems.
  • I cross the California/Oregon state line often and will fill the tank on the Oregon side close to the border.
  • I think you're best bet is on the corner of Hwy 20 and 101 in Willits.
I believe it's around 120-130 miles from Eureka.
There's three stations there that have diesel at the intersection.

I usually pull thru the Safeway.
There's a Chevron and an ARCO there also.

The Chevron is the most wide open.
The ARCO is on the corner to your right headed South thru the intersection at Hwy 20.
I'd say the ARCO shouldn't be difficult to pull into.

One of these should accommodate you.

    edit:
Looks like there's a Chevron in Laytonville also thats easy in and out that has diesel.
That will be on your left in town on 101 headed South.
Laytonville CA is only 109 miles from Eureka.

    Good luck,
    Safe travels!
