Erie, PA to Grand Isle State Park in Vermont

We have our new workamping gig at Grande Isle state park coming up in July and presently visiting family not far from Erie, PA.

Any suggestions on a route to get to our new place of workamping? We don't mind leaving the interstates and we do have 3 or 4 days to get there. We usually stay overnight in campgrounds if available. We travel in a 38 foot gasser motorhome and drag a Wrangler as a toad. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Depends what your interests are.... If you are baseball fans, you won't be too far from the Baseball HOF in Cooperstown, WELL worth the stop (if a BB fan). If you enjoy the mountains, I'd cut north through the Adirondack Mountains, possible getting to Old Forge, the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, then the Village of Lake Placid as you make your way to VT.

Tell us what your interests are, and maybe I can make some better recommendations!
