Expired TIP
In my last post,... just to refresh, ... I was going to drive to the border to turn in my TIP before it expired on April 1st. Border closures make this unlikely now.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we didn't make it to Mexico this year after applying for a TIP online. Sooo....I Emailed Banjercito to ask if I could turn it in in October when we next come down and apply for a new TIP then. They replied that that would work.
Knowing that there could be fines or confiscation of truck for turning in a late TIP I was wondering if anyone had "actually " taken a vehicle and turned in the TIP a few months late if never having entered Mexico.
As I mentioned before, while Banjercito says its ok , the bureaucrat at the border might see things differently . Worse case scenario, I'll just stay in the "Free zone".
If anyone has dealt with an expired TIP I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
